Viadroša, Battle of (1500), took place during the war (1500-1503) between the Grand Duchy of Lithuania (GDL) and Muscovy on the Viadroša River. A four- to five-thousand-strong army of the GDL under the command of Prince Kanstancin Astrožski was defeated by significantly more numerous Muscovite troops in a six-hour battle. Only several hundred of Astrožski's soldiers escaped alive, while the commander himself was taken prisoner. The situation of the GDL in the east became more precarious.
